وقتی بعد از چند روز تو سایت ها رو جستجو می کردم چشمم به لیست برنده های جایزه ادبی هوگو افتاد و این رمان رو دیدم که تونسته بود در رقابت با رمان هایی مثل جلد پنجم نغمه آتش به برتری برسه و جوایز هوگو و نیبولا رو دریافت کنه.
این کتاب برعکس ماجراهای هری پاتر نوشته شده و درباره دختری از یک خانواده جادوگر است که به جای مدرسه جادوگری، راهی یک مدرسه عادی می شود. این کتاب که دومین جایزه خود را به دست آورده پیش از این جایزه «نبولا» را دریافت کرده بود و در میان فهرست نامزدهای جایزه جهان فانتزی نیز که ماه نوامبر(آبان) برنده اش را معرفی می کند، جای دارد.
